Known for his well-crafted portraits and sensuous male and female nudes, Greg Gorman is one of the most sought-after and highly acclaimed photographers working today and, doubtless, part of the star-making machine that is Hollywood. Born in Kansas City in 1949, Greg Gorman began his career in photography in 1969, when he borrowed a friend's camera to shoot Jimi Hendrix in concert. Two weeks later, he did the same for a Doors show. Thirty years later, Gorman has become one of the leading photographic artists of his time, shooting ad campaigns, directing music videos, and portraying the most compelling luminaries of film, music, and sports.
